Biography

My love of art has driven me to the pursuit of all forms of drawing, painting and sculpture.

I love getting my hands dirty and creating works that bring pleasure to others.

I use traditional media and computer programs like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Corel Painter.

I plan to have more illustration up by August, 2008.

 

My writing has evolved over the years to include children's literature, poetry and fiction.

I am currently working on my first novel. (Actually it's the second as the first one never really counts!)

I have always written and yet never pursued it as a career until recently.

My grade one teacher told my mother I was one of the most talented, creative writers she had taught.

Stubborn girl that I was, I didn't listen. At 6, I favored being a baby doctor instead.

 

I have lived a very full and exciting life, pursuing other dreams including fashion design, illustration and management.

I lived in Los Angeles for 10 years and have met an extremely interesting and varied cast of characters and personalities.

My head is bursting with stories and poems that I can't release fast enough. (O.K., it's my typing that isn't fast enough!)

 

Writing is pleasure.

Writing is joy.

Writing is challenging. 

Writing is freedom.

I am grateful everyday to have the ability to create with words.

 

 

I may blog when my novel is completed.

Then again, I was sitting talking to Nik from Coteau books (a wonderful man and company!)

and he suggested another novel based on one of my adventures. I can't wait to start to start that one, so I guess no blog for awhile.
